SHARED GAME DRIVES & ACTIVITIES:

Full day Safari game drive

We use open four-wheel-drive safari jeeps, perfectly suited for taking unobstructed pictures. The vehicles are low emission, thus less noise, and therefore we can take you close-up to the wildlife. Our English-speaking driver-guide is very knowledgeable on flora and fauna and will make sure you get to see the best of Selous. They will give you as much time as you need to ask questions, take pictures and to enjoy the amazing landscape.

Full day Safari game drive to the Hotspring area

There are several Hot Springs or “Maji Moto” as they are called in Kiswaheli, hidden within the Beho Beho Hills and surroundings in the Selous Game Reserve.

Some of these Hot springs are easy to reach by vehicle or by a small walk into a ravine surrounded by lush vegetation.

Bushwalk

There is no better way to get close to nature than to stroll through it. You will be guided by our bushman and Masai. They can tell you about almost everything – from flora and birdlife to large animals to small. Observe and learn the secrets of the African bush.

Hot sulphurous water flows from the rocks, pours down the mountain in little streams forming a series of picturesque pools. A Hot Spring like this one has been the source of that legendary water which was supposed to have made the warriors of the 1905 “Maji Maji” uprising invulnerable against the bullets of the German colonial troops.

On the way to the Hot Springs one will pass the Grave of Frederic Courtney Selous, a naturalist, explorer, hunter and soldier, who was killed in 1917, during World War One near the Beho Beho Hills.

Along the entire safari one will be able to watch game as well.

Village Tour

During a village tour, a guide will take you into a Tanzanian village to give you an inside view on what local life is about. The people are kind-hearted and always willing to welcome you. The guide will show you the school, the market and some other places. We are sure you will enjoy this experience.

Boat safari

A boat safari on the Rufiji River is a completely new experience. Our captain will take you cruising on the river for about 1,5 hours. The river teems with wildlife; crocodiles, hippos and many birds living around the river.
